SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School

"Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
The Sunday school program at Pokrov has been growing from strength to strength over the last year or two.
Every month following English Liturgy (typically second Sunday of the month), over 30 children participate in Sunday School across  three different classes with dedicated teachers for each age group.

Running for 30-40 mins, it is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their friendships, ask questions, and learn about our faith in a relaxed atmosphere.
Younger children enjoy stories,  craft activities and age-appropriate instruction on the fundamental aspects of Orthodoxy - prayer, sacraments and Saints. Older children have the opportunity to delve deeper into the theology of our faith, expand on their knowledge and develop their Orthodox worldview.

It is so wonderful and heart warming to see the children eagerly look forward to this every month and participate with attention and enthusiasm! We thank the parents, clergy and sisterhood for their support of the Sunday School and welcome all children to join us!"
